MyBaby had already sent 50% of the amount for the rent of the condo unit that he'll be staying at while he's here on his next visit. That will be in May. If he'll be on schedule, he should be leaving San Francisco on the 19th of May and arrive here on the 21st. I can't wait to pick him up at the airport. I miss MyBaby so much already and I am more than confident that he misses me just as much.

Last year, MyMahal stayed at the Discovery Suites in Ortigas during his entire vacation. Their rate was at about $85/night then. But this year, due to all sorts of value added taxes - EVAT, RVAT and all the other VATs in our government, Discovery Suite's rate has rised to approximately $99/night. [On the 1st of February, the 10% eVAT has gone up to %12. We do not know if this would still change through time; and if so, we also have no idea when this will happen.]

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Discovery Suites. It was just a 1-minute walk to my workplace. MyBaby would, sometimes, even come to see me during my lunch break. Four major malls were just at a walking distance from the there. The hotel's ambiance was great, the view from the living room window was good, too, because we get to see if our friends are already at the Starbucks (at The Podium)wating for us to join them for coffee.

The view from the bedroom window wasn't very pleasant, but we had the curtains down, the entire time we were there, anyway. The service was fantastic as well, except for the safety deposit box in the room that didn't work, especially when we most needed it. Good thing one of our friends, Misyel

, was kind enough to keep B's money for him.

If not for the price hike, we would still choose the Discovery Suites. But because it would cost MyBaby too much, I told myself that I wouldn't stop scouting for a place not so far from my workplace and my home, where MyBaby can stay while he's here on vacation this year.

It was well worth it ... I found a place, located in Eastwood City Cyberpark. It's a unit at the Lafayette Condominuim just right across from MickeyD's. I would definitely have photos to share with you by the third week of May. I was able to get the unit for $35/night for MyBaby! Eastwood City, Cyberpark is about 3.5 kilometers from my workplace, which is about a 10-minute ride and about 6.5 kilometers from home - about 15 minutes drive. Not bad, yeah?!

We're both so happy about it because that's a difference of about $64/night. As of now, he's scheduled vacation is for 18 days ... Whew!!!

. That's savings of about $1152.++!

As for his ticket ... he said, he had already reserved for it but he hasn't purchased it yet. Therefore, I still don't know if he's actually leaving on the 19th or if he still wants to spend a day or two of his vacation time with his family before coming here. We'll see what'll happen. I'll keep you in the loop - I also still do not know what his plans really are.
